I. THE COLLECTION

A few things,
made with purpose.

Selected explorations in making complex systems useful. Each began with a question worth pursuing.

01

LOCAL INTELLIGENCE

PrivateGPTA private place to think.

Local AI and document retrieval, built around a simple premise: your thoughts should stay yours.

PythonvLLMPyQt6Qdrant

LOCAL INFERENCE · LOCAL DOCUMENTS

THE QUESTION

Can a useful AI assistant live entirely on your own machine?

THE CRAFT

A Python desktop application combines Qwen inference through vLLM with a PyQt6 interface. Documents are indexed locally in Qdrant, with hybrid retrieval to bring the right context into a conversation.

02

OPEN-SOURCE INFRASTRUCTURE

KServeBetter foundations. Better tools.

Modernizing the model-serving interface through Google Summer of Code 2025 with Kubeflow.

AngularFlaskKubernetesCI / CD

GOOGLE SUMMER OF CODE · 2025

THE QUESTION

How do you make an established model-serving interface easier to maintain and use?

THE CRAFT

Contributions to KServe’s Models Web Application span Angular modernization, CI improvements, testing, and features for engineers managing deployed machine learning models.

03

DECENTRALIZED SYSTEMS

d8nAn idea. A flow. An execution.

A visual canvas for composing DeFi logic, paired with an engine that responds to on-chain events.

JavaScriptSolidityPythThe Graph

BUILT AT ETHGLOBAL NEW DELHI

THE QUESTION

What if complex DeFi strategies could be assembled visually?

THE CRAFT

A visual workflow builder connects conditional logic, Pyth price feeds, 1inch integrations, and The Graph. Separate signing and execution components turn the graph into an event-driven workflow.

AN ONGOING QUESTION

When a model reasons, can we trust what it says?

Independent experiments in chain-of-thought faithfulness and mechanistic interpretability.

II. THE MIND BEHIND THE WORK

A builder’s hands.
A student’s mind.

I’m Harshit Nayan, a software engineer drawn to the space between understanding a system and making it useful.

At Rasen Labs, I built voice AI systems from the application layer to GPU serving. In open source, my work on KServe grew from a GSoC contribution into reviewing code and mentoring contributors. I study Communication and Computer Engineering at LNMIIT, and explore how language models reason.

01

Understand deeply.
Build deliberately.

02

Make useful things.
Leave the door open.

III. MARGINALIA

Notes from
the process.

Writing is how I slow down enough to understand what I’m building.

IV. THE CONVERSATION

Something on
your mind?

An interesting problem. A shared curiosity. A thing that ought to exist.
I’d like to hear about it.
